Mona High School Key Club was founded in September 1988 (pre-charter operation).
Since its inception, the Club has earned the reputation of one that helps the community alot. The Club has given more than 15000 man hours of service to its environs. Aligning itself with the University of the West Indies Circle K Club in the earlier days, the Club has assisted in joint projects and also worked harmoniously with its Kiwanis Parent Club - Kiwanis Club of Liguanea St. Andrew and assistance fromNorth St. Andrew Kiwanis.
Our Key Club not only deals with the rendering of services but has initiated programmes to assist the student population of Mona High School in their personal development. A series of “How To Study” sessions were conducted by Dr. Richard Minott which aided the students who sat the C.X.C examinations as well as internal exams in the 1990s. The training of officers and non-Board members in their functions were facilitated by organised through Retreats and Workshops in collaboration with the Kiwanis Club of Liguanea. Our Faculty Advisors (FA) back in 1991: the year in which the Club got Chartered by the Kiwanis Club of Liguanea St. Andrew were:Mrs. Marva Stuppart (DG/International Trustee Circle K International), Ms. Sydonna Gilzene and Ms. Claudette Hawthorne.
